The next step on the Scouting trail is Bobcat. All new Scouts and graduating Lion Cubs earn the Bobcat badge, by learning the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, the Handshake, Salute, Sign, Motto, and the meaning of “Webelos.”

With their parents, they also read the booklet “How to Protect your Children from Child Abuse” that is included in each Cub Scout Handbook.

After the Bobcat badge, the boy works on requirements based on his grade or age. The pages to the left explain the advancement opportunities for Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos I & II.
