WAGGGS

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is comprised of 145 member organizations, including Girl Scouts of the USA. Headquartered at the World Bureau in London, WAGGGS also owns and operates four world centers. Girl Guides/Girl Scouts can visit these program centers in England, India, Mexico and Switzerland.

Girl Scouts of America

When Juliette Gordon Low founded Girl Scouts in 1912, she understood that dedicated and dynamic leaders were vital to helping girls develop their full potential. Today, the organization is led by the Chief Executive Officer, National Board of Directors, headquarters staff, and volunteers and professional staff in over 100 local councils across the U.S.

Today, Girl Scouts of the USA has a membership of over 3.2 million girls and adults.

Girl Scouts of Central Indiana

As of August 2009, GSCI serves over 44,000 girls and 18,000 adults in 45 counties.

Avon Service Unit

The Avon Service Unit is the organizing body of all Girl Scout troops in the town of Avon. First started in 1976 due to growth in the Avon and Plainfield area there were only 18 troops the first year. This year after celebrating 35 years of scouting in Avon we have a diverse unit including over 50 troops with more than 300 girls in grades K-12!
