Troop 2 in Parsons Kansas has been in continuous operation since March of 1914.  This makes Troop 2 one of the oldest running unites west of the Mississippi River.  Over the past 100 years, there have been 37 Scout Masters as of 2014.  Scouting was incorporated in the US in 1910.

The longest member of the troop is Bob Brandenburg who is currently the Troop Committee Chair.  He was not only a member of the youth, but also a Scout Master as has served the troop for over 50 years.
